Introduction to Hyderabad Metro Transit System (Hyderabad Metro Route Map)

As with all the major metro cities, Hyderabad also has its share of traffic problems. On a daily basis, people of Hyderabad face traffic jams. To reduce the traffic jam, Government of Telangana and Hyderabad has focused on the problem of transport in Hyderabad metro city. To solve the problem of transportation of the Hyderabad citizens and reduce the traffic jam, Hyderabad Metro Rail Transit System is developed. It is known to be one of the largest metro transport systems in the world, which is based on P-P-P mode. Hyderabad Metro Rail project is a part of the urban development project with high connectivity and skywalks that creates the seamless transport experience for the people of Hyderabad.

Its not only the largest metro network built on PPP model bit is also eco friendly, solid and futuristic which would definitely withstand the requirement for coming many years especially for growing metro city like Hyderabad.

Currently, only phase 1 of the Hyderabad Metro Route is complete and fully functional. The plan for phase 2 is already ready. Currently, the Hyderabad metro train comprises of 3 coaches in each metro rail. It can attain the top speed of 80 KMPH and it travels at an average speed of 35 KMPH. On a daily basis, more than 3,00,000 people travel or commute through Hyderabad Metro. Phase 1 of Hyderabad Metro has 3 lines – Red Line, Green Line and Blue Line.

Hyderabad Metro fare ranges from Rs. 10 – Rs. 60. Hyderabad Metro also offers a 10% discount if you use Smart Card to travel.

Hyderabad Metro timings are: 6:30 am to 10:30 pm (Mon-Sat) and 7:00 am 10:30 pm (Sun).

The Hyderabad Metro Route Red Line is the northwest-southeast corridor of the Hyderabad Metro transit. This route line passes through the centre of the city.
